We just (March 1, 2020) finished presenting the first 2 skills-building workshops in all 3 regions.
We considered these essential for any group/artist/venue that want to put on a successful event.

In the future we will be adding more.  We take requests :-)

Never organized an event?

Never toured?

Now that you know what the 100 Mile Arts Network is all about, programming an event has just gotten easier, hasn't it?  Even newbies may want to try their hands at it.
But getting the event off the ground without frayed nerves, broken friendships and exhausted volunteers is another matter.  And we will address that.

Our workshop series is designed to cover all aspects of successful event planning and execution.

The event you’re planning may be a single concert, a poetry reading, a performance, a workshop or an art exhibition.  It may be a festival with several shows and activities.  Your show may also want to go on tour, whether to 2 or 10 locations.

Picture
  • Session 1:  “If you don’t have time to do it right, you don’t have time to do it twice” -
Understand and start to create the fundamental elements of a Canada Council grant.  Use the “strong application” checklist.
This session is online using the Zoom platform.
  • Session 2:  “Feedback Time”
Individual sessions - send in a draft and get it reviewed.  Ask questions.
If this is your first app to CC, you must have participated in Session 1.
This can be done via Zoom or phone.

Depending on the response we may have to put a cap on the # of applications Peter will review so act now.  It’s first-come-first-served.
