Connecting artists with new venues and bigger audiences

On behalf of 100 Mile Arts Network Film Festival, we’d like to thank the nearly 100 people who joined us on September 30th to honour National Day of Truth and Reconciliation and to support emerging filmmakers from the Gatineau Hills and Nunavut.

We were honoured and grateful to have Elder Luce Bélanger with us, who offered a prayer, and conducted a smudging ceremony.

Nathalie Coutou from Khewa in Wakefield and David Decontie from Kitigan Zibi joined us for a panel discussion following Trails and Trials, a film about reconciliation efforts in the region.

Contributions in the amount of $300 to the Kitigan Zibi Cultural Centre were made in lieu of ticket sales.

We’d like to reach our goal of a $500 donation. If you would like to contribute, please send an e-transfer at 100MANoffice@gmail.com by October 23rd

Thank you from the Board of Directors of 100 Mile Arts Network
